Heritage Office Furnishings Ltd.

Located in Vancouver’s vibrant Mount Pleasant neighborhood, Heritage Office Furnishings is a truly one-of-a-kind commercial space where post-pandemic way-to-work ideologies and human-centered design come together. Mike Meyer, Senior Vice President, is one of the leaders guiding Heritage’s operations at this new 10,000 square foot location at 295 West 5th Avenue.

Solar Studio: A creative hub for live design sessions, Solar Studio allows clients to immerse themselves in material planning and collaboration. This space is designed to foster real-time teamwork and inspire innovative solutions for modern workplaces.

Heritage’s move to Mount Pleasant marks a new chapter in their 44 years of operations, one that reflects their commitment to growth and belief in the power of thoughtful design. Meyer, who came to Heritage by way of the snowboarding industry, blends passion and practicality into his leadership. For him, it's not just about creating offices; it’s about creating spaces where people can truly thrive.

Heritage’s new headquarters certainly reflects their focus on helping clients create environments that nurture creativity, connection, and a sense of belonging. Every aspect of the new office reflects their dedication to flexibility and inclusivity. The open floor plan allows for easy movement between collaborative areas and quiet, private corners, recognizing the flexibility and adaptability that today's teams seek. "We’re not just designing for today’s work; we’re designing for how people actually use these spaces," adds Meyer.

The Gateway: Serving as the grand entrance to Heritage’s headquarters, the Gateway is more than just an entryway. By evening, it transforms into a venue for events, comfortably accommodating up to 60 guests for after-hours gatherings.

This holistic approach to workspace design has been instrumental in shaping the company’s identity. Heritage is more than a furniture provider - it’s a company that listens to the needs of their clients and responds with creative, practical solutions. Whether they’re designing for healthcare, education, or corporate environments, the goal remains the same: to create spaces where people can grow, collaborate, and thrive.

Cantina: The versatile Extremis picnic table, featured at the front, is designed for both sitting and standing heights. Crafted for outdoor or indoor use, its smooth, seamless surface ensures easy cleaning and a stylish, functional design.

The new location is alive with the creative energy of the Mount Pleasant community. The area’s coffee shops, public transit connections, and vibrant atmosphere offer a work-life balance that pairs alongside the professional and social lives of the Heritage team and their clients.

New ideas surrounding leadership are showcased in the space. The executive team's decision to forgo private offices in favor of a shared, open space speaks volumes about the work culture they promote - one that prioritizes openness, mentorship, and accessibility. "We’re building spaces that people love to be in," Meyer explains, capturing the energy and connection that the new office embodies.

Solar Flare & Eclipse Call Rooms: These contrasting call rooms demonstrate the versatility of design, showcasing how different aesthetics and moods can coexist. The playful day/night theme sparks inspiration for clients considering a range of styles for their own spaces.

As Heritage continues to grow in their new home, their mission is clear: to craft workspaces that tell a story, support human connection, and foster creativity. "It’s fulfilling to see our team proud of where they work,” reflects Meyer, “and it’s exciting to be part of a company that’s making a meaningful impact on how people experience their environments." Heritage’s story is one of evolution and innovation, but at its core, it’s about building spaces that enhance the lives of the people who use them.
